Default Wrist pin question????? Help please

I have a H22a4 from a 97 prelude. I am rebuilding the engine starting toinght. It had a slight knock. What is the chances it is a wrist pin over the rod bearing???? Also how can i tell if it is a wrist pin??????? I ve got the bearings out they dont appear to be to bad. Any advice is great

to test to see is a wrist pin is nessed up you can adjust the exhaust valve tighter than spec up to the point where the cylinder wont hold compression.
if noise gets louder then thats a bad wristpin sign.

as far as rod knock, disconnect the spark plug on the cylinder that you think its making noise to see if it stops

Pull the plug wires one at a time. Generally if the knock goes away it is the pin, if it stays it is the bearing.

isnt it the other way around? wouldnt piston pin knock be louder if not under load?
and the other way around with rod knock? i mean no load on bearing, less knock

Crap, Now I am cofused again, been awhile. The pin or piston does a "double tap" compared to the bearing. Removing the the plug wire removes that noise. A stethascope is the correct answer, piston height or crank height. I am betting on a bearing FYI.
