Default Wiring Problem

My car is a 99 Honda Civic with a 95 B18b1 swap.

Here is the problem, after getting my motor swapped a while ago I was poking around my motor bay this morning and see this problem with part of my altenator harness.

Any information on how to get it wired back up properly would be great!

okay today just got worse. The tach and speedometer starting going insane. Reving up and down, but the engine isnt reving itself. The radio wasnt working. Lights dimming and getting brighter.

Okay i went out and bought a haynes book.

The wires wernt yellow, they were white.

But im still a little confused onto to where they go. Im going to take off my intake manifold off and see if there are any other frayed wires under neath it.

Side note, whats a good product to use to clean in the inside of an intake manifold?

Get rid of that haynes crapper.

Those are your alternator wires....

White/Green stripe.....1
Black/yellow stripe......2
White/blue stripe.......3
white/red stripe.......4

With the part of the connector that you squeeze on the top and you are looking from the wire side into the back of the connector....they are located as follows:

2 1
3 4

#1 goes to the ecu....OBD2b C2
#4 goes to the ecu....OBD2b C5

#2 and #3 go to the fuse box

Really? I just made an entire wire harness for my h22a into an EG, granted its obd1 into obd1..

and looked at my wire diagram and concluded that the way honda had it setup from the factory was
1 wire goes to main relay or "engine running 12v"
1 wire goes to the dash battery light , this pin is grounded only when the alternator is charging
2 of the wires go to the ecu for alternator output control.

I see you have a lot of posts, I dont want to stir up an argument, but I thought I would drop my 2 cents in since I built the harness from scratch.

However I do not know how obd2 or obd2a or obd"whatever" besides obd1 is wired in this instance...

well i know 1 of the wires will have 12 volts going to it

2 of them will go to your ecu

the other one when grounded to the frame rail should light up the battery light on your dash.

as for the 2 ecu connectors, i would get your obd pinouts obd2a/b whichever that 99 has im not sure and figure out with a multimeter which wires go where..

or run all 4 new fresh wires..

you could also get a new engine harness or make one like i did its a bit insaine... but hell I love nice wiring.

heres what the haynes book is saying

wht/blu goes to charging sys indicator
wht goes to the battery fuse
wht/grn goes to alt out sig
wht / red goes to alt fr sig

Im still unable to figure out which wire blue is...i did a lil research threw the harnesses in the book and the only one that could make sense would be RPM output signal.

Sorry i lied, it was 5 wires

Yeah, thats exactly what I just typed

RPM comes from the blue wire off the distributer
atleast my obd1 distributer has 5 wires and then 2 wires comming off it

5 of the wires are for this
2 wires CYP
2 wires TDC
2 wires CKP
1 wire ICM

the other 2 wires on the other connector are
I believe Ignition +12 a large gauge wire 12 or 14 I believe

then that other wire is RPM signal goes directly to dash.

hahah im an idiot i cant believe i didnt think of that.

The guy who did my swap was using an obd1 altenator with the obd1 plug, so he changed the wires. Since i have an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness i can use an obd2 plug and the wires should match upand i should be on my way...i hope
