wiring for gsr swap
ok so i currently have a 98 civic 2dr coupe with a poor mans gsr in it(b16 head) and i am looking at purchasing a new obd1 gsr long block swap from hmo. The engine that i have in my car now has a obd2 b18c1 block 98+ and the head is a 89 b16a. the kid the i bought the car off of did the swap and i think he just made the conversions to the wiring harness where necessary. I dont know much about the wiring or soldering so is their anywhere that i can just get a harness made for this swap? for a reasonable price $200-275?
also when i pull the engine does anybody have advice for pulling the transmission so it can be attached to the new engine?
responses are appreciated.

Why did you create two threads for the same engine? And there's no such thing as a "Poor Man's GSR". Never heard of it.
And a search would have gotten you all the answers you needed without posting a single thing.

You can pull the engine with or without the transmission attached, but you can't leave the transmission in the engine bay without the engine. If you've got the tools the easiest might be to remove the transmission, pull the engine, put the transmission on the new engine, and install the new engine with the transmission attached.
To figure out the wiring you will need to find pinouts for the wiring harness of your engine and the receptacles in the engine bay. You may need to repin the IAB, VTEC signal wires (x2), and knock sensor, and there may be a wire you need to relocate across the engine bay. The wiring is ridiculously easy. As long as you are methodical you can DIY it in an hour or two. What exactly you do depends on how well it was rewired before.
