Default Wire harness Q`

I went to a website that is selling a B18C5 (JDM Integra Type-R) and i wanted to put it in my 95 Civic hatch but i looked at the specs on the engine and at the bottom it said "*Note: Wire harness is for right hand drive configuration" and i have a left hand drive car. Basically what i wanted to know is if i could use the engine and wiring harness on my car and if i can if it would be alot of work to convert it to left hand drive. Thanks for the help

I hate to sound ****, but JDM ITR engines are badged "B18C". A B18C5 is a US specific ITR engine.

If you want to this swap to be done nice & clean, its recommended to use a LHD engine harness, and for your swap specifically, a US OBD2 integra VTEC engine harness is the one to use. The engine itself will bolt right info your 95 civic no problemo, as long as you have all of the correct mounts, shift linkage, axles, etc.

There are some people on this forum that have claimed to make a JDM RHD engine harness work in their US vehicles with some semi-heavy modifying performed to the RHD engine harness. The reason you cannot just simply use a RHD engine harness in a LHD vehicle is because the main harness plugs are located on the opposite side (left hand side) of the engine bay, rather than on the US passenger side (right hand side).

ok well its a JDM engine with a right hand drive wiring harness so your saying that i would prolly have to get a USDM wiring harness.

either one will work, there will just be slightly more VTEC wiring work with the LS harness. (GSR harness = VTEC engine harness.)
