The wiper switch will not turn off on my 93 civic LX sedan 1.5. Whats involved in swaping out the switch? Do I need any special tools? thanks

if you mean the one on the column, you have to take off your steering wheel. Torque bit, 19mm socket, phillips screw driver...

Its the one in the stering column, I think a spring broke. The switch hangs down and stays on. It goes off if you hold it up.

yeah that springs is kind of flimsy. Make sure to unplug your battery before you remove your steering wheel. You have to remove all the SRS componenets and stuff also. You wil see it once you remove the steering wheel. Should take no longer than an hour.

if the handle hangs down and switches itself on, the switch snapped internally. time to replace it.

just in case, here is how to remove it from the car and clean it up.
