Wiper switch only works when holding it down?

Wiper switch only works when holding it down?
Curious if anyone has had the wiper switch on their civic fail so that in order to work the wipers you have to be holding the switch down? Just wanted to make sure if it is the switch or something else before I go buy another switch. TIA
