Highbeam problemo
Umk,Drive the 89' DX CRX
About 3 weeks ago,I drove to my girlfriends house and dropped her off
then when I started driving,my highbeams would not come on...
it would click, click, click, click, but no high beams
occasionally they would come on,but id have to hold the clicker back,it wouldnt stay
whats the problem? Fuse? wiring? I mean it just randomly happened

Re: Highbeam problemo (AJZerick)
its probably the headlight switch on the steering column. especialy if you can wiggle and mess with the switch to make it work.

was it actualy clicking a bunch, or were you just describing how the switch still clicks in place when used.

Re: (AJZerick)
To replace the switch, remove the H from the steering wheel, then remove the nut holding the steering wheel on (I think it a 17mm) and the wheel.
Then remove the plasic cover behind it, where the ignition and column switch's are. There are 3-4 scews holding it on and a ring in the front that need to be pulled off, it also has little clips inside of it that hold the cover together.
Then you should be able to access the switch and check the connection, or replace (try a junkyard or http://www.car-part.com/ ). To remove the switch unscrew it, unplug it and slide it out ( its in a groove/housing so try not to break that) .
