Window Tint best kind?
I plan on tinting my windows, I don't wanna hear "just have a professional do it." I want to learn, and how else am I suppose to unless I try it. I will have my glass out so I thought that would be a good time. I might get some pre-cut stuff, but I might as well save money and just get a roll of it. What is a good brand to buy? I knew people with the ebay ones and those would crack and start peeling, although they might of done a crappy job. Is is basically like a decal? Where you spray the water/soap on, lay it out and squeegee it smooth, then peal off the backing piece? Does it matter if the tint is on the inside or outside?
Any of you guys used these:

Not many shops will sell you tint. Most tint companies frown on that. 3M and Suntek are awesome films. There really is no need to take the windows out to do it. It is actually easier & cleaner if the windows are left in the car. Most of the youtube videos I have seen are a joke.
The tint is shaped & cutout on the outside. Then applied on the inside. When I say "Shaped" you will need to shrink the film to form to the curved glass with a heat gun. A hair dryer will not work. If there is a tint shop local to you, you may want to stop by and ask them if you could "Intern". Sweep , clean up for free in return to learn the basics.
Been tinting for almost 25 years. (Since 1987)

I found some Suntek standard tint, 40" wide and 10 feet for $37
Then some carbon 40"x10 feet for $47
Does 10 feet sound enough? Door windows are about 1.5 feet each, 1 foot for quarter panel windows, and rear hatch is about 3 or 4 feet.
Do you have any good video or article about tinting?

I am (My shop) in Puyallup. 10 feet might not get it done. The film can only be shaped & Shrunk in one direction. I have a CRX here and I am looking at more like 12 ft total with a 40" roll. PM me if you have any other questions though.
