Kind of depends on what the problem is.

Which window, is it the only one with a problem?

MM&Y of car would help.

Is this the first time it has happened?

You said, "i hear some thing and then nothing" something like what, [a click, a grinding noise, a hum] ?

First thing I would check is the switch, could just be dirty.

Do you have or can you borrow a multimeter? 94

The window is jammed, why and how it's jammed there is no way of knowing without looking.

As mentioned, it could be a broken window regulator, or it may just be that the window is off the guide track(s).

A "hum" that stops after "a little" tells me the motor may be OK and a CB is cutting power to it because it's jammed.

You will need to pull the door panel and have a look. 94

dont mean to steal thread but i also have the same problem except whenever I roll my window all the way down and make it come back up it comes back up off the track -__-. I dont know why it does this and is annoying when I have to take off my door panel everytime to put it back. If i roll my window down halfway its fine but does anyone know why it does this? I recall someone told me something was bent but i forgot what it was called exactly.
