why can't you chip a jdm obd2 ecu?
I thought all jdm ecu's used obd1 programs but just use the obd2 plugs if its 96+?
If this is the case couldn't you chip obd2 jdm ecu's?

you cant chip obd2 period.
Yes you can. It is extremely expensive to do so however.

but for the amount of money your gonna spend to do it
its cheaper to convert to obdI and get a chipped ecu.
