why aren't cutouts prevalent in the import industry
why dont imports use them?
people do everything from straight pipes to open exhaust?
so why not imports?
i'm planning on retrofitting a ls1/lt1 flotec electric cutout onto my project car.

My roommate did a manual cutout. T3/To4E turbo, 3" downpipe, to 3" cutout, 3" thermal midsection, then an exhaust shop took 3" piping and ran it underneath the lower control arm to a 3" A'PEXi universal muffler. It sounds bad as hell, and you don't really hear much difference with the cutout opened up. He just pulls up onto a curb at the street races and undoes the wing nuts.
i'll be doing this for nice gains "when i want" for the turbo..
less backpressure as possible right?
i never really liked the nice sounds of a 3" straight pipe with a nice test pipe...
<---coming from a rsr and comptech exhausts,
as well as str8/test pipes
