Default Who's been to the state referee lately?

I just got popped by the cops, gave me the good old state referree ticket. What are my chances of passing? I got a 97 gsr but my block is off a 95, is that an automatic fail, also, will i fail w/ my skunk2 IM cause my secondary butterfly sensors aren't pluged in? How much is it to go through the ref, pay them then pay the court fees, versus just going straight to court and paying the fine. In in Fresno County, California of coarse

What about the block number, will they run the block number, if so, will i automatically fail because its a 95 gsr block in a 97 gsr chassis?

Curious what was you doing to get pulled over speeding?

Must have been something stupid for them to go to the lengths to pop your hood i am just curious that’s all not trying to flame on you or anything!

as for your block yea it is older then the car and they will more then likely run the block vin/number to find out the history of the engine!

i would just pay the fee's and not even mess with the ref

The funny thing was I was at a stop light, and a cop on a motorcycle was directly behind me. He flashed his lights while we were at the stop, I pulled over and he was like "I can smell your car's emissions." So he told me to pop my hood and all he was able to find was my adjustable B&M FPR. Everything else that's modded has C.A.R.B. stickers and plates. I think Im F-ed even if i swap back a stock FPR no matter what, cause my chassis is a 97 and the block is a 95 what do you think?

Some people have said that they just paid off the ticket, how is that, won't that register in the system that the violation (mods) haven't been fixed, just paid for?

I'm not sure how the ref is down there in Fresno, but up in northern cal here the ref just smog the car and check for emissions components. They do not run the numbers on the engine unless its actually getting BAR'd, my friend got state ref ticket and he returned all the parts to stock and passed with a 96 ls engine in his 94 integra with obd1 computer and harness.

LOL

You don't get it do you?

It’s all about the money you do not think they will not have you in the "system" weather you go one way or the other it is all about the money bro nothing else regardless of what they officially say!

Either way I am sure there are ways around your problem I presume you just have to know the right people of cause I am just presuming this because I hear about scandals on the news all the time who knows?

I really hope that's the case, what do you think my odds are of passing if i put my stock cams, stock intake manifold and intake, but with my usdm itr pistons still in? Also, do running 100 octane race gas increase or lower your emission levels, i would think it increases them?

Does anyone know if the ref checks to see if you have a cat and decibal test. Im pretty sure i'll pass the visual, assuming they don't nail me for the 95 block in a 97 gsr chassis. I called the state ref, and he told me to bring in the car, if i passed the visual and smog, he said he'd be willing to let the 95 block slide and bar the car so that i wouldn't have problems in the future.

ofcourse hes gonna pass with a 96 motor in a 94 chassis, you cant have a motor older than the chassis to pass state ref

Had my apt. today, passed everything but 1500 rpm HC. Max is 61, my car scored 70. What should i replace, O2 sensor, cat, any suggestions? Plugs are new, cap and rotor are new, so are wires. Oil was changed and so was air filter. Everthing thing else passed, NoX and high rpm HC were cool. The ref said most honda's have a hard time passing low rpm HC for some reason.

I wonder if the cat is getting up to full operating temp before the ref runs the tests. O2 sensors could be on the way out, too.

How can you tell if the cat is to normal operating temp, i was told once o2 reading are 0 that means it is hot enough, both runs the o2 levels were at 0.
