This is for a friend(vsm_ej6) who's been searching and calling as many places as he can but still can't find anyone to chip his ecu. He has a 96 obd2 P14 H23 ecu and needs the redline changed and add vtec.
The car is a 96 civic hatch with a jdm obd2 H22 with an obd1 dizzy...the harness was specifically wired for it by Rywire but for some reason the car will only run on the P14.
We've tried an obd2 gsr and itr ecu's and the motor will idle rough, then when given throttle the motor almost dies...it even did the same with a jumper running on a stock obd1 P13 and chipped obd1 P13. When either of the p13's are plugged in...it gets the solid CEL of death. But with the P14 ecu, it runs perfectly fine, minus vtec and a 6800 redline. *shrug* He's called Rywire and he won't even listen to what we told him... he keeps saying it's our fault and that there's nothing wrong with his harness...and that we jump it wrong causing the CEL of death. (can check CELs perfectly fine with all other ecus).

Anyone have an idea on what's wrong...or where he can send his P14 out to get vtec and a redline change? Thank you.

You cant chip an odb2 ecu... the only option with an odb2 ecu is a piggy back or convert to odb1
