White Stuff on O2 Sensor....
i recently took out the o2 sensor from my test pipe and there was white **** all over it. it wiped off easily with a rag. is this a bad thing?

No, it's not good to run either. You want to run stoich. Running lean can cause back fire and running rich can foul up and make O2 sensors/spark plugs go bad.

Was the white stuff on the sensor or the threads.
New o2 sensors have anti-seeze coated on the threads.

How about this.... instead of making asumptions off the O2 sensor, check your plugs to see if they're white too. That will tell you if you're lean or not. O2 sensors aren't typically used to make sure the car is running the propper A/F ratio-- partly beacause they're inside the cat which gets into the 1500-2000°F range, and alters the chemical proporties of the exhaust.
