Default white smoke but..

my car hasnt been driven for several months, i start it now and then and let it run for a couple minutes to keep the battery charged. today i changed my antifreeze and than started the car to let it run for awhile. i noticed alot of white smoke coming from the exhaust, along with water coming out (i know its water i smelt it and took a little taste ) im running with a gutted cat and the fumes smell like fuel. i have read previous posts that have said white smoke = headgasket/coolant burning. ive been running the car in my driveway for a good 15 minutes and the smoke continues. when i turned the car off smoke continued to come out of the exaust slightly, it was still white and had the same burning fuel smell. the car has 30k miles on it. could this just be that the car hasnt been run for awhile and water has built up in the exhaust pipe? just wondering because i planned on installing turbo next week...

If it's been that long since you've started it, get in drive around for a while, then stop and let it idle. Check for the smoke. White smoke does = burning coolant, which usually means blown headgasket.

i cant really drive it, because it is uninsured for the time being and i live on a main street, but i didnt see anything odd in the coolant when i drained it, the coolant has never ran low and the car has never overheated. what else could it be?...maybe that its 40 degrees outside??

what blew on your motor, was it due to the headgasket. if you blew the motor because of a bad headgasket wouldnt you have been overheating for a while?

hahahaha, well you got me there. see my temp. gauge on my cluster is broken and i haven't had or took the time to install the digital temp. gauge so there's one of my problems. i'm guessing it's my headgasket for now because i was burning coolent before but hey, it could be anything. i know that both my head and block is warped now so i'm gonna have a machine shop deck'em.

My ITR does it a little bit, but my coolant level is fine.

grrr still havent found out why its smoking someone help! i checked the oil and there is no signs of coolant, i also checked the plugs to see if their was any coolant there. could it be that the gas has been sitting in my tank for about 5-6 months... would the lack of a cat have anything to do with it? what type of test do i need to perform/get done to definitely determine its the head gasket??

its just water build up inside the muffler. my cavalier did that like a year ago. i don't really drive me cavalier so it would just sit there. when i would turn it on, i noticed white smoke coming from the muffler. i took it to a mechanic and he said it was just water buildup, no blown headgasket. has it been raining in your area? is it real damp, foggy like in the morning, like mist everywhere? if so, its just water in your muffler. you need to drive it around for awhile to get it all out. damn, i even had water lightly splashing out of my muffler.
