White smoke from exhaust on startup only
This happens maybe 1 out of every 35-40 or so starts of the car, very rare, but enough to make me notice. I have not noticed a trend of when it happens (hot day, car in sun, after hard boost run, etc) or anything either, seems to be random. What happens is when I start the car the idle is really crappy, like it barely stays running, and white smoke comes out of the exhaust. It only idles like this for around 30 seconds at the most, then it's like all the sudden the car realizes it's supposed to be idle'ing and goes and idles perfectly fine. The white smoke comes out like in one lump when the car first starts but does not continue to pour out, just comes out for the first 10 seconds or so. Anyone know what could be causing this? Could coolant be seeping into the cylinders somehow when the car is off and when it starts it's getting flushed out, causing the white smoke? My car is tuned running Hondata and DSM 450's if that matters.

Re: White smoke from exhaust on startup only (justinCO)
white smoke = coolant leaking into cylinders
head gaskets sealing problems or warped head IMO. decking the block and head would fix I'm sure.
has your car overheated recently?

Re: White smoke from exhaust on startup only (Turbo E)
Car has never once overheated. Turbo has been on for ~5000 miles. Only 1 trip to the strip and I never street race, pretty much nice to the car all the time I noticed this problem the most when I was at the dragstrip last. Every time I made a run the car would sit for about 2 hours before next run. Each time I started it for the next run this problem would happen. But since then it happens like I mentioned in the first post, very rarely. I can't imagine the head being warped already, engine only has 20,500 miles on it total. Head gasket problem, I guess it could be that, can't see how considering how I drive though...
