Where is the ECT Sensor located?

Default Where is the ECT Sensor located?

I'm trying to find where my ECT (Engine Coolent Temp.) sensor is? is it the sensor coming out of the thermostat? or is it somewhere else?

yes, it is in the thermostat housing.

Isn't that the fan switch? The ECT sensor should be below the distributor.

If your thermostat is stuck open, would that cause your fan not to come on ?

But you can still check the fan's operation by jumpering the fan switch.

ya sorryi was trying to post what my car was yesterday night but my computer froze and wouldn;t boot up, but anyway my car is a 92 honda civic DX
