Default When changing cams do ya re-adjust the valve lash or not?

In DOHC Vtec engine.

And how does it sound/run? this is for those who dont adjust.

i believe u should adjust them after replacing new cams...if u dont it might make a clickin sound when driving or idle

why? your right there and it only take another 20-30min to do the whole job correctly instead of half assed.

Half-assed jobs are what keep people posting questins around here...that and using 'half-assed' parts.

When changing cams, you set the valve lash. You're not re-adjusting it because it was never adjusted in the first place. The old clearances were good....for the old cams.

The base circle diameter of two different cams can be quite different therefore your lash could be significantly loose or tight when installing a new cam. Installing a cam without adjusting the valve lash isn't even an option.
