whats th difference?
One is smaller than the other.
I never hear honda people using small block and big block though, but I'll try to explain in Chevy terms....... Chevy 305ci/350ci/400ci/383ci/etc. motors are considered small blocks cuz they're the GM's smaller displacement V8 engines and their motor mounts are all the same. The big block Chev V8 is like the 454/502/630/etc cubic inch motors which obviously have a larger displacement.
I guess if you put it in honda terms, the D/B-series would be small blocks and the H/F-series would be big blocks. I don't know where the K series would be, and the C-series would be in a class of its own.
If you made a mistake and wanted to know the difference between a shortblock and a longblock, then:
Shortblock=Block
Longblock=Block with head attached to it.
