I have a 99 Civic Si and will be pulling the tranny soon to install a JDM ITR Final Drive and a CTR LSD. At the same time I would like to replace the 1-2 and 3-4 synchros, since I am getting sme grindage. I can get a great deal from Len, but he works at an Acura Dealership.
I was under the impression that the Type R and Si trannies are the same, minus the LSD. Is this true and are the synchros interchangeable?? Please no guessing, I really need an answer from someone who really, really knows for sure. Thanks a lot.

Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and get the part number for the synchros.
Now go to acuraautomotiveparts.net and get the part number for the ITR synchros.
That should help ya.

I have done that, and those web sites use their own numbering system. Which to me, means that just because 1 is an Acura and the other is a Honda, then they get different #'s. But that is just my way of looking at it.
Anyone know if they are the same ????????????
