Default What's THIS?!?!

Ok. Let me make the long story short.

I was installing my Fuel Rail. Had some leak problems. Found out it was a bad O-ring on the Injectors. Went to the dealer, bought new O-rings and replaced them.

No more leak problems from the Injectors, but this time it was leaking from the end. So I thought it was because I didn't tighten it well enough.

Went ahead and tightened it, and SNAP! The end bolt broke. And the cap dropped somewhere and now I can't find it. I'll need to buy a new one, but have no idea what its called and what the Part # is.

Here's a picture of what I'm talkin about. The white end cap I'm talkin about is circled in the picture.

Here's the bolt that snapped.

if anyone knows the part number for the cap that screws on the end of the fuel rail, PLEASE let me know. Thanks.

when you go to the dealership they should have diagrams of the entire assy.

it should be fairly easy to get the correct part without the part number

I don't think its the FPR. It's on the opposite side of where the FPR is on the Fuel Rail.

I think it's the Fuel Pulsation Damper. It's a white cap that screws on the end and holds the fuel line to the Fuel Rail.

Do you need this part to run the car?
Can you just put AN fitting that connects to a stainless steel braided hose?

Good News!

I found that biatch. Was browsin around with a flash light, checkin every corner, and I got lucky.

But there's a new problem now. How do I get the broken bolt out? It's twisted in there pretty tight.

He is right it is a pulse dampener from the factory. Try holding the pulse dampener in a vice and using vice grips on the bolt to unscrew it.

yeah, it's the FPD, but I don't believe you can buy that seperately from the fuel rail. Worth a shot though, I guess.
