What are Your thoughts on Nitrous????
i was just wondering what you all thought about it.
most of yall think its cheating. But i want to hear from some people with good experience with it. Is it true if you MAKE SURE everytime you squeeze you hold it LESS the 2 or 3 seconds it wont hurt ur car? What is the worst that could happen if you use it properly....by that i mean holding less then 3 seconds everytime you use it?????????
please list pros and cons about nitrous
thanks

Nitrous is a gas when used properly. Just make sure you're tuned for it. There'll still likely be some increased wear from it's use due to the higher heat levels.
Depends on the miles on your car and how much giggle gas you intend to introduce, but in general setting your timing back to stock or slightly retarded, colder plugs, and a slightly richer A/F ratio are the tools used.

my reply on the situation make sure that car s tuned right dont do it yourself have a proffesional on cars i mean a real one. dont halfassed it or youll be sorry in the end uhhhm make sure you get a racing engine to withstand it do something to boost your fuel cause if the fuel aint there the power wont be there either which=fucked.
nos is safe. the brand i used was nos by holley. i sprayed a 70 shot on a b16 for 2yrs. constantly. i raced in my town every other week and i ocassionally street raced also for 2 yrs. at first i didn't no **** about it. my friend got one so i thought it'll be cool to get one too. at first it was just a 40 shot, so i really didn't change anything, but after a while i wanted to increase my horespower. i did my research on nos and basically you need a performance ignition, colder plugs ngk7bre, stock fuel pump is ok. but look into getting a performance one. and most importantly, read and understand the instructions, and have someone competent enough to install it. is nos cheating? hell no. horsepower is horsepower. just don't do like i did and depend on nos everytime i raced. i felt my car wasn't all that unless i was spraying. it's addictive and expensive.
whoever told you 2 or 3 seconds is an idiot. you can use it for 15 seconds safely.
pros:
if you know how to be responsible in the use of it, it can be a inexpensive way to go fast
cons:
if you hit the revlimiter you might be in trouble (100% nitrous + spark=boom) but you can get an RPM window switch for this
i ran a 75shot every other day on my stock b16. was quite fun !!

Exactly!
It's alot of fun too! I am selling a Zex kit that is in flawless condition- only two bottles run through it. If you have a gsr, I have an AEM cold air that is predrilled for the line and all ready to go with this kit! Let me know if you're interested. Ask around, the Zex kit is the safest kit on the market!
Email me at JDMspecR@hotmail.com and make a fair offer

retard your timing, check your fuel, i would recomend going with a 1 to 2 stage colder plug depending how much your spraying , and if your running a wet system especially direct make sure all your fuel lines are tightend down real good.
