What is wrong with my engine in this video?
I cannot figure out where the whining noise is coming from on my car. I have already posted about this problem, and I have have gotten quite a few good suggestions. However, I still can't fix it. For more detail, check this post:

Check out the video and tell me what you think:

Listen for the slight whine in the background while accelerating. It is getting louder everyday. It is much louder in person than it is in the video.

sounds horrible,i know i hear every low sense of my lude, but what it is?...try resetting ECU and drive again,if it doesnt work check all vaccum line of correct connection plugs if loose (even their color),i think the normal things like oil, water, etc u´ve checked before...
I have some longer videos, and I will post them later. The noise is the only high pitched little whistle in the background. It starts about 1 second into the video and squeals until the end. I have checked everything on the car as far as fluids, belt tension, whatever. I even cleaned out the intake manifold with cleaner blown through the tb.
Since many of the vacuum lines are under the manifold, is there any easier way to get to them or check for leaks?
I will upload more video when I get a chance.

Do you have a short ram or something? My intake whistles when I accelerate when I'm just driving normally...... I checked the video like 10 times and that's all it sounds like to me.
its not loud in the video and a high tone too,but i know what he mean, its a second not normal sound overlaying the engine accelerating sound

Yep sounds like a CAI system to me as well, it whistles when accelerating RPM dependant >>>

my car does that at any rpm above like 2500, just a humming/whining noise, it's just the air going into the throttlebody in my case.
mine makes this sound even when i take my intake off straight through the tb, but i have had intake for 4 years, and it just started makin that noise about 8 months ago. i think i need a valve adjustment, ill see if that fixes it. the wierd thing is the sound goes away and comes back at random times
i really dont think think its anything to worry about, its just freakin annoying

Well I am glad to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this problem, however, I don't know how much longer I can stand it. If it is the sound rushing into the throttle body and intake manifold, then what can I do to fix that.
I know it has nothing to do with the intake, because it is louder without it. Everyday it gets louder and louder though. The car is incredibly quiet at idle, and the valves do not need adjustment. In fact, the motor is one of the quietest honda motors I have ever heard.
I might end up removing the intake manifold and throttle body at some point to inspect them because the sound is embarrasing. Either that, or I could just put the resonator box back on the intake to mask the sound.
