Default What SOHC oil pans are interchangeable?

Just curious as to which (If any) are interchangeable?

Example: D16a6 oil pan on D16y8 shortblock?

Thanks.
Phil

I know D16Y5,D16Y7, & D16Y8 are interchangeable, They are all cast aluminum besides the D16Y7, which is steel like all other oil pans.

Z6/A6 are usally the same parts fitment, and I know a y8 pan will not fit a z6. The ends have a different size radius for the seal - huge gap on either side of the crank area. I'd assume a y7 would fit a y8, since mostly everything on a y7 is the same as a y8. Not 100% sure though, but I will have a y8 & y7 pan next week to compair.

I may have 2 y7 pans neext week & an extra y8 pan. I may be able to get away with an alum pan for my turbo fittings, as I can easily tap the 1/8" thick walls. Its the angle I need which is discouraging.

The A6 pan will have some interference with the Y8 B pipe. It will rub on the collector. I know the Z6 pan may have some more clearence.

Y8 will fit an A6 block.
I have a rebuilt A6 short block with Y8 pan sitting in my garage.
