I wanted to know before I buy some used cams. Please enlighten me.

 

if thye don't have heavy wear they are fine, check all the journals and lobes for wear and make sure they have been stored properly if they have been out of the car to make sure they are not worped

 

make sure you know what you are buying. Please do a search. Please will scam on ebay

 

Assuming that they are straight and don't have a lot of wear, then the only thing to be sure of is if they are indeed the cams that the seller says they are.

 

make sure they are packed well and haven't been dropped...stress fractures can occur very easily that will cause breakage down the line.

if you put them in and they break, don't assume it's the cams...could be install error
