like stated at what point will a rich condition in a car create a CEL. i was talkin to a teacher at my school whos an smog inspector. i told him my car runs rich at higher rpms and we were talkin about inspection of my odb2 car and he said i should pass smog with it running rich as long as i have no CEL for it. Since obd2 is just a datalink test and not a sniff test i should pass if i have no stored codes...so i was just wanted to know at what point does the rich condition throw a CEL. I know if i burn an O2 running rich ill will throw a code but other then that will the car throw a code for the rich condition.

When it fouls out your o2 sensor, that's the only code I can think of from being rich.
