Default What pistons to use

Im getting my b20 sleeved. (has the b16 head on it) and I would like to run a lot of boost. anyways I heard that cp is the way to go for pistons. If so should I just get 84mm regular cp pistons or is there a certain cp piston I need to chose? I'm going 9:1 ratio. Also what rods do you think I should use? I know pauter rods are ba, but what would you guys recommend? Im not gonna push over 500 hp

If you are not going to go over 500hp then just the off the shelf CPs are fine. They are good for 800hp. For the rods any of the rods out there will work as they are all rated for more than that. Eagle, Manlley, Pauter, Carillo, whatever you want. Let us know if you need any help.

I was thinking cp pistons. I found some on laskey racing for I think it was $550 or so for a set. I don't want to go with eagle rods, haven't heard great things about them. If anyone knows where I can find the best prices that would be appreciated.

Theres a lot of options for rods. You don't need to go with something like a Pauter or a Manley I Beam if you are only looking to make 500hp. They are heavier and ment for high hp so something like a Manley H beam, Brian Crower H Beam, or Eagle H beam will be fine.

However if you think eventually you want to make a lot of power than Manley I Beams, Pauter X Beam, or Carillo H Beam with Carr bolts are the top rods.

yea I'm almost thinking about throwing some eagle rods, and good pistons in a plain b18 and putting a little boost to it. save me some money. I actually think it may be overkill if I sleeve it and build it up just for 10lbs of boost
