Default What Piston to wall clearance

My b18c5 is bored to an 85mm, with JE 11.5:1 (12:1 with the headgasket) and also sleeved. The shop workin on the motor now is sayin there is around 6000ths, however i took it to my machine shop and we read them all around 38-4200ths. What would be best?

The spec sheet of the piston should list what the wall clearance is. A lot of the time, JE pistons have a 4 thousanths PTWC.

well that is a relief, the machine shop had a shop manager at a local honda dealer come over and mic the block, he came up with 3.9 thousandths as the most PTWC, so i think im in the clear. Thank you guys
