I was planning on upgrading my igintion and fuel system and adding a VAFC for tuning in hopes for some more power and keeping the H22 internal stock. After reading some threads and it seems the fuel and igintion systems do not need to be upgraded until 350-400 hp. I wanted to stay away from boost b/c of the cost and my concerns with having to rebuild the H22 block.

What can I do for some more power and keeping it around $1000 for now. I am not expecting any crazy HP gains just more or less something to do on a weekend and take to the dyno and get tuned and see some results.
