A missing link is a check valve that prevents the MAP sensor from recieving positive pressure from the manifold. When it gets boost, the ecu sets a check engine light, because it's not expecting that. It goes on the vacuum line between the motor and the MAP sensor.
I have no clue where to get one for a good price, I can't afford boost.

So pretty much just unscrew your map sensor (on top of your tb) and place the missing link there, then put the map on top of the missing link and tighten down.

Do you have any fuel management for the turbo?
Ditch the check valves and have your ECU read boost: http://www.turboedit.org/index.php
