Default What kind of engine?

Being new to this site I am seeing alot of F22a6 engines etc... What does this mean?

Better question is there a list that I can find my engine?

2001 CR-V EX AWD and 1996 Accord LX

Thanks in advance!

Look where the engine bolts to the transmission, below the cylinder head.

Thanks for the reply.

I know that I have the 2.2l SOHC engine in my Accord and a DOHC 2.0L in my CR-V. I guess my question was where can I find what kind of engine do I have in the format that is commonly used here, i.e F22A6?

It is stamped on your engine block, you might have to clean the area off if it is crusted over with dirt or oil.

directly on the front of it. right where your head meets the block on the left side. and if you have a accord then you should have a f22

Your CRV should be a B20 if its a DOHC 4 cylinder 2.0

Thanks -
I thought that one time when I was looking through this site I saw a list of models and years and the type of engine. I was looking for that last night and never found it.

Thanks again for the input.
