Default engine question.....

the 2003-2005 accord I4 come with a DOHC, while the V6 is a SOHC? does anyone know why this is?

The V6 puts out plenty of power as is. Designing a whole new engine with DOHC would be costly and the design would be more complicated, obviously. The engine would also be HUGE in comparison, and possibly weigh quite a bit more.

It's simply not necessary. The pros are probably outweighed by the cons.

Oh, and it's 2003-current.
