Default What is this? Found in the oil pan.

I'm in the process of swapping a B18A1 in my 89 Civic. The person who own'ed the integra before me made some type of contraption for the oil pan. They stripped the oil pan really good. We dropped the oil pan to change the gasket, fix it, and found this. I don't think this is from ANY thing inside the motor but I want to make sure.

ive seen that before... i cent remember exactly where though. not engine related. those 2 pieces go together with a small rod through them and a spring on the rod. put it through a hole and it expands.

from a screw or nail or fastener of some type. cant remeber the name though or the purpose of the fastener. drywall comes to mind though

edit: hanging pictures... thats where i remember it from i think...

Bingo.

I just found out what it was by the original owner. They used something like above to plug the drain with a rubber thing. When they did a oil change they got a new one and left that piece in the pan, then when we pulled the new one out.. got a second one. on them.
