Ok, I'm a total newbie to modding...

I just got a 96 Honda Civic LX Auto 4dr SOHC VTEC, I've been talking to some of my friends from school and I'm starting to get interested in modding cars and racing them. I'm willing to put the money in to fix it up like doing an auto->manual conversion, swapping for a b18c1, and maybe even turboing it. My question is... Do you think my car [after I mod it] will be worth the time and money I put into it? Is my sedan too heavy to compete?

I think you will be happier and better off in the long run if you just got rid off the lx now try to find a carlot that will just trade your 96 for like a 93 ex or hatch or something
