96 Civic ex stock? what should i do?
So I just got my first car. Its 96 civic ex stock and since moneys tight I got a hand me down automatic which I really didn't want. So now I'm wondering what could i do to it to so it could perform a little better. I'm already putting in Hids, lowered suspension, rims, and adding a couple things to the interior. I know there isn't much to do to an automatic engine wise but was wondering if anyone could let me know if there is anything I could do?

If you really want a manual (and you should), research and do a transmission swap before you spend money on cosmetic stuff and HIDs, etc.
It's *very* easy in a Honda, and the procedure is well documented here and elsewhere.
It's so easy, in fact, that I did my transmission swap before I ever changed my oil for the first time (total noob). Yes, for real.
As long as you can do internet research, can use tools, and can deal with getting flamed on honda-tech for asking questions, you can pull this off and you'll be alot happier with the car in the long run. Your confidence will also be ++ and you'll be more willing to tackle the bigger projects down the road.
I went from not knowing how to change wiper blades a year ago to just finishing up a built and boosted D16. You can make your car exactly what you want -- the answers are all here. Research is the most important part of this hobby, IMHO.
