I was hooking up my new Proform Shift Light. Here's what I did...

1)hooked up red wire to the positive Batt. terminal
2)hooked up black wire to the negative Batt. terminal
3)hooked up the tach wire to the blue wire out of the Distributor.
4) I tried to turn on the car but it's completely DEAD.

Did I screw up my Distributor..? Any help would be appreciated.

 

How did you hook up your tach wire? Thats the only wire you touched that could cause a problem...

Does the car run when you remove the tach wire you hooked up?

 

I hooked it up to the blue wire on the distributor, because that's what the instructions said to do... where in WA are you...?

 

i don't know what you didi but i know that blue wire can go to the back of your gauge cluster.. that controls the rpm.. it should be a blue and white wire...
