Default what are crush washers?

hello everybody.

can you please tell me what are cruch washers and where do thay go?

Also known as sealing washers.They're used on brake lines and bolts with fluids or pressure behind them,like the oil pan drain bolt

crush washers are typically placed on the oil drain plug,

crush washers are washers made out of aluminum. Whenever you tighten the bolt there on they crush making it seal very well. Honda uses them on alot of bolts on the engines and trans. anytime fluid will pour out when you remove a bolt, it will or should have a crush washer. (i.e. oilpan)

when torqued down they create seal seal between the bolt to prvent leaks...i.e your oil pan. they are one of the major causes of leaks, ppl dont think to replace them.

......which is why you get one in the package when you buy your oil filter from Honda.

After you pay for it. It's not 'included' in the oil filter, the parts guy adds it in there. They get your $0.40, trust me.
