Default Weird TB question

I'm wondering if a TB can handle exaust temps.

What do you mean? If the throttle body is used as it should, it should never even see exhaust temperature ranges.

I know. God this sounds soooo bad. but I'm just thinking of ways to make a diveter valve.

I've seen posts here where people have done exactly that with a throttle body, but I don't remember how successful they were. Search around here and Google, it's been done before.
