Default Weird CEL

ive just finished my obd1 b16a2 swap into what was a EG SI.

when im driving over 60mph ish i often get a constant CEL. but when i turn the ignition off to check the code the cel has gone!?

cutting the ignition while the car is moving and then turning it back on removes the CEL for a few minuites but it then comes back?

anyone got any ideas on what this is or how i can diagnose it?

And that should give me the code?

was i meant to wire up the knock sensor when i did the swap? or does the SI harness allready have it done? because i didnt wire it up, could that be it?
