Coolant temp should be around 190 degrees F after that the rad fan should turn on.

If temp. exceeds 200 or so degrees and rad fan is not turning on, check rad fan circuit, fuse, rad fan relay, ECTS and wiring.

If engine temp. continues to clime even if rad fan turns on or car is moving at 30MPH+ replace the thermostat it is sticking.
Also make sure there are no restrictions in front of rad, if the inter-cooler is in front of rad or portion of rad make sure there is no debris between rad and inter-cooler, same goes if you have A/C, check for debris between rad and condensor. 94

Do you still have the stock rad?
If so you may want to thing about a bigger aftermarket rad.

I had an overheating problem on hot days when autocrossing and using the 75 shot nitrous oxide, [94LS] replaced rad with aftermarket triple core, no problems since. 94
