Default water temp gauge install??

yes i searched, found lots of usefull info...

but still got a question: can i place the sender in the radiator?? and still have a correct reading? this would be very easy cuz my radiator had a factory temp/fan sensor there originally (its right at the bottom about 2inches from the lower hose). so will this work?
thanks...

That spot at the bottom would read coolant temps AFTER they have gone through the radiator. I'm sure that would be very different than the temps taken from the head. If i'm wrong please chime in and let me know. I'm a little ignorant to the way water flows in the engine.
