Default water pump

My water pump went bad, i plan on replacing it soon. Is there any advice or tips on putting a new one in? im replacing it on my d16z6.

replace the timing belt... and your other accessory belts..
as well as your valve cover gasket.. do your thermostat too
inspect your motor mounts too

to take the crank pulley off you will need an air gun or the special tool

if you haven't had head work done..
but you are thinking about it..
might as well do it now too..
