Default Washed engine bay car won't run correctly

Ok so last night I decided to wash my engine bay in my 96 gsr that I bought last week
I covered the dizzy and proceeded to degrease the **** out of everything
After I was done I started the car and drove it back up to the garage
Then I completely dried everything with a air hose, I pulled all the spark plug wires and dizzy caps and blew them out
Pulled the spark plugs and blew out the sockets and blew out the alternator
This morning I get in to go to work and the car won't go over 2000rpms
I step on the throttle and it goes to 2k then back to 1k even if I hold the pedal to the floor the Rpms just keep fluctuating between 1k and 2k I can't even drive it around to try and get it warmed up.
So I pulled the dizzy cap and blew it out checked all the fuses and pulled the alternator and I am going to go have it tested
Please help!!! ASAP I need to go to work tomorrow I can't miss two days in a row
Is there a throttle position sensor or fuel map sensor or mass air flow sensor somewhere that I could have gotten water in?? Help help help 😭😭😭

I already did all of that
I'll do it again and I'll spray some brake cleaner down in the holes and try and Evaporate all of the moisture out with it

Ok well I pulled the distributer and wires and have them sitting in the sun and I pulled the spark plugs
Sprayed brake cleaner in the bottom of the sockets to try and evaporate any moisture in the bottom got new plugs

OK so I ended up going in buying a brand-new distributor and alternator and all new spark plugs and put it all back together it still wouldn't run . So I decided I was gonna let it air out for couple more hours what a waste of time.

So I pull out the throttle position sensor on the back of the throttlebody it was soaked took it, completely dried it cleaned it with sensor cleaner and put it back in. Car runs perfectly fine now

I marked the top of the tb and the sensor so I could line them up and not have to readjust it

I can't understand why anyone in their right mind would spray water into an engine bay with a thousand electrical components. If I ever did this I would wait a month to let everything atleast have an attempt to dry out before restarting it.

X2 I degrease my bay by hand... It takes time but atleast then you won't have these problems.

When I was working in detailing we had countless issue were we would pressure wash a cars engine bay, usually year 99 and under. Sometimes it would go smooth but I wouldn't take that chance on my own car.
