Torneo CF4 w/F20b engine problem
High Guys! Total newbie here from Ireland just wondering if I can get some help from you lads on here
I drive a 1998 Honda Torneo SiR-T (CF4) fitted with an F20B 2 litre engine. Its an import from Japan and was imported by a friend of mine about 2 years ago. At the minute im having alot of engine trouble with the car. When you start the car from cold the revs build up to about 1500rpm which is normal with the car, then after about 60/90 seconds it starts to misfire slightly and then the misfire starts to get a little worse and then settles at what you would call a slight misfire. When the engine warms up and the choke is off it starts to idle up and down jumping from between 1200 and 1800rpm up and down and up and down and the slight misfire is still in it.
I have replaced the spark plugs and the spark plug leads. I have also replaced the throttle posotion sensor and the MAP sensor and none of this has made any difference at all.
Any suggestions that you guys can offe would be a massive help and parts are no real problem as I have a crashed one there that I can take parts from :-)
Thanks in advance for any help.
Aedan.

I would test the IACV (its near the center of the intake plenum with a 3 pin plug connector) since its the rotary-type idle valve it has two functions; the function of the Idle air control valve and the Fast idle thermo valve so it would be worth testing. Also since its pretty fast, pop of your distributor cap and take a look in there as well (for any build up and loose wires to the ignitor). You can also test the coil and ignitor at this point.
