VTEC and Speedometer not working.
I recently had an exedy clutch and flywheel installed in my car and now my VTEC and my speedometer doesn't work. I read in the forum that it could be caused by low oil pressure so I immediately did an oil change on the car and it's still experiencing the same thing. Now my check engine came on.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? Has anyone experienced this same problem?

I'm new to all this stuff. How do i check for codes? I also double checked all the sensors (plugs) that connect to the tranny and that general area and all seem to be plugged in.
I forgot to mention this is a 00 Si. are there any sensors inside the tranny that maybe they did something to?

double check the speed senor on the back of the tranny, make sure the wires arent twisted, you cant miss the senor its the only one on the back of the tranny right below the throttle body.
do a search on how to check codes, its better to read a write up then have me explain it

your vtec doesnt work because you have to be up to a certain speed in order for it to engage, its prob. the vss, did they plug it back it and installing it?
I know about being up to speed. I think they (the repair shop) must have done something when they took off the tranny to install the clutch.
I took it back on Monday and they are going to replace the VSS. I'll let you all know when it's fixed.

I just got a call back from the shop. They said it was the VSS. The only problem is that none of the Honda dealers out here have that part in stock.
I'll have to wait till tomorrow to get my car back.

its more than likely ur speed sensor. i had a friend that experienced same problem.switched out senor and worked fine.tha also would cause ur vtec not ot kick in.
