Default Vtec oil pressure switch help

My car is throwing a code 22 (vtec oil pressure switch).
I double checked all of my VTEC wiring and that is fine, and its grouded to my battery so that should be a good ground

So anyways, how do i go about testing the switch to see if its bad or not?
TIA

To check the vtec selinoid take a piece of wire anywire and touch one side to the seliniod wire and the other to the positive batery terminal. you sould be able to hear an audible click, if not then its not working. Also take the vtec selinoid off and clean the screens inside.

I had the exact same problem, I tried everything i could think of. I took off the vtec selinoid, cleaned the screans out. verified that that wasnt the problem. I was ablout ready to re-wire the vtec because I kept getting cel 22. Then i read on H-T that if your oil pain is slightly dented it can cause a ton of problems including the cel 22. So i took off the oil pan and pounded out the dent. Since then I have not had any problems and have not recieved the cel 22. so i recomend checking your oil pan. If you have a dent POUND IT OUT!!!!

i just had this problem last week..check the solenoid then just for the sake of cleaning it and knowing how it works take the whole unit off the motor and clean it inside and out..then put it all back together and make sure its not leaking any oil between the gaskets and head..then plug it all in make sure your oil is full in the motor and try it again after you reset the ecu by pulling the 7.5 fuse under the hood..if it still throws the code check your wiring to the ecu..my problem was my faulty wiring to the ecu once i made sure it had a good conection it works perfectly now..and i never beat my oil pan back into shape but ill probally do it in the future because im a neat freak any more questions im me
