Vtec not working!! Any ideas!!!
Alright, well my Ls/vtec is running great! but vtec wont engage. I have it just wired to a switch like a lot of people do in hybrids. When i have the car off and i hit the switch i can hear the vtec solenoid click. Then when i start the car and hold the rpm's at like 5000 and hit the switch there is no difference in sound or power when i'm driving. It simply isn't pulling. now, i tried another vtec solenoid that worked when on a previous car and the same thing. Where should i start? I have the stock Ls oil pump but i don't think that should matter should it?? I would think that the Ls oil pump would give enough pressure especially since it's hooked up to a switch and not reliant upon the pressure! Any ideas and info would be great!
thanks guys

okay well... even when i drive it doesn't sound like it's changing at all and plus, i have it powered directly from the battery to a switch to vtec solenoid so it really shouldn't matter. I don't know what the hell to do. i'm beginning to think that i got some really shitty automatic cams and vtec is just really weaK!! who knows?

THEN tell us if it works or not.
