Vtec is not WORKING
i just recently install 1g b16a in my crx..... the swap went very well but except for one thing my vtec is not engaging........ i have a check engine light on and it is showing that my coolant sensor is out but i replace it with new and it still does the same thing, also i tried wiring it up straight to the ECU and still 6 FLASHES ON THE ECU....... i was told this was the cause of the disvunction of the VTEC......if anyone out there can help please reply soon....... BIG RACE DAY 2 DAYS AWAY........NEED
Yea you need to get your ECT fixed... Sounds like the problem is in the wiring but if you ran test wires then I'm just not sure... But, one parameter for VTEC to x-over is to know that your motor is warmed up... If you have or can borrow another PR3 or PW0 ECU try that... I really doubt the problem is in the ECU but if you try those and you still have the same problem then there's only two things it could be... BAD sensor again, or wiring... Good Luck!!
