Default to vtec or not?!

right now i'm planning on building another car, here's what i have in mind
a b20b and go boost crazy....

now here's my question, should i go b20vtec turbo? or should i just do a b20turbo? i'm planning on running a lot of boost on the motor, so i'm wondering if there will be to much overlap with the vtec.

basically it comes down to should i spend more money for the vtec, or is the money better spent elswhere ie. even stronger internals.

I would most likely just build the hell out of the B20 with the non-vtec head. There is no sense in using a VTEC head and running the oil lines and all that to the head with a crazy turbo up front as well.

The VTEC x-over with a lot of boost would have a lot of overlap, but you could also go with turbo cams.

Whichever way you wish.

If you want to have vtec to toy around with until you get your turbo setup together then go for it.. If you can live without vtec until you get turbo then don't bother wasting the extra cash. If you're getting the motor and turbo at the same time then I wouldn't bother with vtec.

sounds good to me, i'm putting the motor together while my car's getting painted so i don't really care for the vtec right now since i don't get to drive it anyways! hahah, i always thought it would be better just to do a b20 turbo, but my friends were telling me to do a b20vtec + turbo.... furthermore, i want something realiable. stock honda motors are very very reliable! too many bad experiences with hybrid motors. thanks for the advice guys
