LSvtec turbo but not going to run vtec.. opinion?
Im building a Lsvtec and do not plan on using the actual vtec.
resoning is I want the flow of the head.
I have heard numerous times the combination of vtec and turbo is laggy if not set up correctly...?
?

yea i'm not very familiar with turbo cars but... i am going to say if you have bigger lobes (vtec) why not use them? last time i checked more fuel & air = more power?

yes but one of the reasons it flows better is... bigger CAMS, because of mad v attack

Idk its just a few ppl that had this build had less lag when vtec is cut off but they are using STOCK cams.
would I have better luck with a milder cam. keep in mind this will more than likely be a dd and I dont want a retarded amount of lope.

what i have learned from a little lurking in the FI forum is the budget build dohc people LOVE gsr cams. so i say keep them and make sure the vtec is working. look around in the forced induction thread i remember seeing someone hit like 500+hp on gsr cams

yea I havent built the motor yet, but I have hondata s300 and a b18b block and about to buy a stock gsr head. I have skunk2 springs/retainers and some kick *** cam gears btw I need valves still.
primarily I am only interested in the FACT that a stock gsr head flows better than a non-v head after 1k$ in machine work.
Im honestly not to worried about having use of vtec. but if I can make it work and work in sync with the turbo I will.
